川 / kawa カワ
2016年、2人のフォトグラファー荒川晋作と関川徳之により始まったプロジェクト。チーム名は両人の姓に共通する「川」の文字に由来する。十代の頃よりスケートボードとカメラに沼り、今なお「スポット」を求めて津々浦々を流れる。自ら縫う和綴じで制作した「川の本」に始まり、2020 年からはおよそ半年に一冊のペースでオークラ出版より本をリリースし続けている。2026年春に9号目を出版予定。
This project was started in 2016 by two photographers, Shinsaku Arakawa and Noriyuki Sekikawa. It named Kawa by taking one character common to both their last name. Kawa means river in Japanese. They traveled all over Japan and published books of skateboarding and landscapes they encountered. Since 2020, They has been publishing a book every six months from Okura Publishing. In April 2026, they will publish the 9th issue.
